Hello, our clinic specializes in eight-constitution medicine. Eight-constitution is one of the eight body types that you are born with. The treatments and food regimen is personalized for each constitution.
An eight-constitution treatment consists of manual pulse examination, followed by constitution acupuncture treatment and herbal tea. The treatment itself takes around 10 minutes but the waiting time could take around 20~30 minutes.

Appointments
If you are a first time patient, please make an appointment before your visit. Our reception can communicate only in basic English, so accompanying a Korean speaking friend is preferred. Appointments can be made over the telephone if you could speak Korean, or a via cell phone using kakaotalk messenger if you only speak English.
We only understand Korean and basic English, so if you speak any other language, please come in with someone who can translate for you during the treatment. We do have on board an English capable doctor, so if you could speak fluent English, it would be okay to come by yourself.

What medical conditions do you care for?
In our clinic, we care for a broad range of diseases and symptoms. The most frequently treated conditions include joint pain, headaches, allergic diseases, rhinitis, metabolic syndrome, autonomic nervous system, dyspepsia, menstrual discomfort.
What is constitution?
Constitution is the term used to describe the body type you are born with. Physiology is different for each constitution and thus, diseases and the consequent treatment should be tailored to each constitution.
What is Eight Constitution Medicine(ECM)?
The concept of eight body types and the tailored treatment was conceived by Dr. Dowon Kuon(1921- present / Director of Jesun Acupuncture Clinic and Dawnting Cancer Research Institute in Korea), and was later introduced to the public in 1965 at The International Congress of Acupuncture & Moxibustion.
How is my constitution analyzed?
The constitution of an individual can be identified by examining the pulses on the radial artery of both wrists. This method differs from traditional pulse-taking in oriental medicine for finding a pulse formation among eight different pulse formations, each associated with a particular constitution. The eight pulse formations are inborn and inalterable.
What is my treatment options?
In Eight Constitution Medicine, the disease is a concept of over-imbalance of the organs in the body due to harmful foods. To stop the over-imbalance and thus stopping the progression of the disease, it is at utmost importance to coincide with the constitution regimen. Acupuncture and herbal medicine is used jointly to adjust the balance between the organs to restore optimal imbalance.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a method of treatment using acupuncture needles. Acupuncture needles are gently placed and removed at specific acupoints located around the body. For ECM treatment, the needles are removed right after the placement. Only a slight tingling sensation will be felt.
